The hat that lights up our lives

Perhaps you have heard horror stories before about in-laws. I don’t have any stories to tell. My in-laws rule. Instead, I have fun stories to tell about the cool things they get me like my Kobalt hat equipped with LED lights in the brim. The hat was a belated birthday present from the Phillipys who gave it to me when we visited with them after they got back from a trip to Italy. The first thing I saw when I opened the box was a picture of a guy with a hunting rifle so I was super confused. Was my father-in-law trying to get me to go hunting with him?

Once I figured out what it actually was and was for I was like a little kid on Christmas morning saying “just what I needed” all over again. Now, when Sara and I go for walks in the dark we don’t have to worry about tripping over cracks in the sidewalk. And if and when I need to fix anything in tight spaces where light is limited, no longer will I have to try to put a flashlight in my mouth.

How cool is that?
